Dr. Wright joined Capitol Illini in 1969. Prior to his employment at Capitol Illini he worked in Oswego, Illinois at a mixed animal practice. Dr. Wright has served on numerous professional boards and committees representing the ISVMA, AVMA, and his alma mater. Because he has a special interest and expertise in Veterinary Orthopedics, for over forty years Capitol Illini has been able to provide advanced methods of diagnosis and corrective orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wright has three children and four grandchildren. He and his wife Nancy live on a small farm near Springfield where she raises, trains, and shows Hunter and Jumper horses. They also have two Pembroke Welsh Corgis and four cats. Outside of his veterinary and family interests, he is an avid musky and tarpon fisherman and a fan of the Fighting Illini.
