Losing a beloved companion animal can be an incredibly difficult experience, and finding the right support is essential for healing. Capitol Illini Veterinary Services is here to help you through this tough time with our free Companion Animal Grief Support Group.

Join us on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Capitol Illini Vet, located at 1711 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL. This free event is open to adults (17+) who have lost or are anticipating the loss of a beloved animal. The group will be facilitated by Leigh Steiner, a Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula certified through the University of Vermont, and Christina Holbrook, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Together, they will provide guidance and support, helping participants navigate their grief in a compassionate and understanding environment.
